Supporting Our Students
Every year, the Morrissey-Compton Annual Appeal raises funds for scholarships and program innovations that touch every student. This year alone the Center has worked with over 400 students and their families, many of them needing scholarship support and all of them benefiting from the extra time and program development for educational growth. The Center's fees and tuitions cover the majority of the costs of the wide range of services offered. In some years contributions to the Annual Appeal accounted for 26% of the budget to meet the Center's goals.
While gifts to our Annual Appeal meet needs in the current year, our Endowment Fund reaches to the future. We cannot secure the future of our children without your help. We ask you to consider the Endowment Fund as a contribution that will propel our students from kindergarten through college, ensuring that the services of the Center will continue to be available. Over the years, our modest income has been supplemented with donations from people who have shared our goals. The Flora Family Foundation, recognizing the Center's earnest desire and expertise in helping students with disabilities, gave the Center a substantial initial grant to build an Endowment to secure the future of the Center. This endowment fund is critical to fulfill our commitment to our community.
